Shinny Bayaar current British Flyweight Champion

Brief Biography By Shinny
:I was born on 27th August 1977 in a village called Bayanchandmani in the province of Töv Outer Mongolia. From an early age I was always very active as a result my father encouraged me to participate in all sorts of sport competitions. Because of that I am now very enthusiastic about all sports.

After watching a Ulaanbaatar Cup competition between Cuban Boxers I knew that what I wanted to be, I was so impressed by their skill and physic, I just could not stop talking about boxing so my dad started to teach me the fundamentals of the sport. I must have showed some sort of promise because my dad took me to our local boxing gym Aldar Niigemleg boxing club and I statred to train under the top trainers M. Monkhjargal and the Honoured Altanhayag (also known as “Golden”). I will always be grateful for all they taught me not only about boxing but how to behave in and outside the ring and how to look after myself.

In 1988 in I was entered in to an annual junior competition (Olympic Beginners) and won a Bronze medal. In 1989 I won Silver and in 1990 & 91 I won the Gold. As I got older I entered the 1995 Youths National Championship, and won a Silver Medal. From that I progressed to the 19 96 to enter the Ulaanbaatar Cup (an International competition) where I won a Silver Medal. Year later 1997 Adult National Championship tournament I won Gold medal, same year came the South East Asian Game and a Bronze Medal.

As an amateur boxer I had 100 fights winning 90 of these (44 with KO’s) and 10 loses.

Soon after I decided to turn professional, in 1999 I started “Red Rock pro boxing club” under a trainer called Narantuya. In the same year I won my first championship belt: the “Champion of Mongolia” at flyweight.

In 2000 I went to Korea to continue my training, in June that year I travelled to the Philippines and was entered into a WBC straw-weight championship fight against Manny Melchor a 3 times world champion from the Philippines, the fight went the full 12 rounds but I lost on points.

In 2001 I came to the UK and started training under Mr Jack Doughty.

On 16th November 2008 I became British Master’s Flyweight Champion when I beat Spaniard Jordi Gallart.

On 23rd October 2009 I beat Chris Edwards to become the current British Flyweight Champion.

As a pro boxer I have had 23 fights winning 19 (8 by KO) with 4 losses and 1 draw.

In between 1995 – 1999 I studied at Mongolia’s State University of Physical Culture where I graduated with a “Red Diploma” with a Bachelor Degree (similar to a Degree with Honours).

In 2008 I joined Lifetime HF Club Company and qualified with a NVQ level 2. Not long after I started working at LA Fitness Health Club. In 2009 I continued my training and reached NVQ level 3 with means I am qualified to become a Personal Trainer.

2008 – 2009 have been good years for me as well as becoming a British Citizen and British Champion I became a dad when my lovely wife Tsoomoo gave birth to our son, Avid in July 2009.

In 2010 I will be defending my Title.

As for the future I’m looking forward for possible European and even World Championship fights.
